| Short description : |
| The Government of France adopted a new law on voluntary activities thereby revising the civic service and adapting it to the needs of young people with fewer opportunities. It includes a range of programmes, e.g. “Défense 2ème chance” (“Defending a 2nd chance”), a programme combining professional training and physical activities. A national agency for social cohesion and equal opportunities, created in 2006, manages the new civic service. |
