The activities at a glance

In 2010 a specific focus is continuously dedicated to the further development of the European Knowledge Centre for Youth Policy and the collection and provision of knowledge on youth issues. Thus by achieving a better understanding and knowledge of youth the EKCYP serves as a source for reporting on youth related topics and contributes to evidence based policy making.

In training and quality assurance of youth work, the citizenship training courses are complemented by the further implementation of the advanced training course for trainers, TALE. The strategy for a better recognition of youth work and non-formal learning will be  reinforced.

The specific co-operation with the Euro-Mediterranean, South-East Europe and Eastern European and Caucasus regions continues to be priority field as well as the Euro-African youth co-operation which is implemented by the North-South Centre in Lisbon.
