Call for participants for the Long Term Training Course on Access to Social Rights for Young People from Disadvantaged Neighbourhoods

The Directorate of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe with the support of the Flemish Department of Foreign Affairs is looking for participants for the Long Term Training Course on Access to Social Rights for Young People from Disadvantaged Neighbourhoods, to be held from July 2009 to March 2011.

News :
The aim of the course is to develop the competences of youth workers/youth leaders to contribute to combating the social exclusion of young people in disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
Each participant in the course is expected to develop and implement a project with young people at risk. The project must be developed within their sending organisation and in as far as possible implemented in cooperation with local and regional authorities.
The course consists of four phases, including face-to-face and distance learning elements (mostly through e-learning), in which each phase and learning feature is equally important. The course will be held in English and French.
The initial training seminar of the course will be held on 20 - 30 September 2009, at the European Youth Centre Strasbourg, France.
Please be informed that the application form for applying to the course should be filled in on-line, available at http://courses.opencontent.it.
To access the online application form applicants have to register to the platform first.
The application form can be filled in English or French and should be submitted by 15 June 2009 at the latest.
